<p class="p1"><span class="s1">The Laboratory for Ultracold Quantum Matter & Light at IQC Waterloo invites applicants for a graduate research position and a postdoctoral position in experimental / theoretical atomic molecular optics (AMO), quantum information science, and nanophotonics. The applicant will work at the interface between AMO physics, condensed-matter physics, and quantum information science, investigating emergent quantum behaviors with strongly interacting Rydberg quantum gases and photons.<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span></span></p>

<p class="p1"><span class="s1">Two postdoctoral and visiting scholar positions are available for conducting cutting edge research on atomic physics, quantum many-body physics, and quantum information science. Important qualifications include a Ph.D or equivalent degree in AMO physics, and excellence of research in quantum optics, laser spectroscopy, optical metrology, cold atom physics, or quantum information science. Experience with nanofabrication is also useful.<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span></span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1"><span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span>An ideal candidate should have the potential to develop new quantum applications and theoretical frameworks, or to actively implement these ideas in laboratory experiments and engineered systems at an internationally competitive level (strong background in experimental quantum optics, ultracold atoms, or nanophotonics is preferred).<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span></span></p>
